Igor Montenegro

Igor has over 15 years of experience with Project Finance, M&A and Business Development across LATAM and the US, 10 of which within the renewable space.

Prior to joining Peregrine, Igor was Senior Director of Project Finance at Recurrent Energy, having led the execution of over $3bn in corporate and project financings and in excess of $600m in tax equity across ITC and PTC deals. During his tenure in Brazil, Igor led the divestment of over 500 MW of utility-scale solar projects to multiple investors. Igor began his career in banking at BBVA and Itau, Brazil's largest private bank. 

He earned his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) and is an avid student of philosophy.
