Jason Knedlhans

Jason brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the design and engineering of renewable energy systems. Jason started his renewable engineering journey with Underwriters Laboratories, where he successfully developed and grew renewable engineering business lines, talent and facilities throughout the world. Product and project evaluation, along with project engineering continued as Jason moved to working with one of the largest EPCs in the U.S., Mortenson.  At Mortenson Jason oversaw financial and technical modeling, design, engineering, vendors, pricing inputs, and technical innovation for energy storage systems, thereby providing Mortenson’s customers with the most economical and technically-feasible solutions.  Most recently Jason broadened his career as the Director of Engineering for Able Grid Energy Solutions, one of the leading standalone energy storage developers in the U.S.  As part of the nimble startup team at Able Grid Jason was successful in developing unique availability structures, negotiating supply contracts, developing equipment specifications and engineering standards, all with a focus on reducing risk and focusing on financial results.  Jason enjoys the outdoors, is an audio and home automation enthusiast.  Jason holds a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
